for bluebirds

Harmony

November’s
sky and light
when opposites agree

to see
what flowers see
the expanding harmonies

beneath the grey and stillness
within every twig and limb
all cells are harmonizing
readying for the symphony of spring

like dervishes
branches twist and spin
seeking harmony between the seasons

earth’s orchestra plays
winter’s melody of cold
while the wind harmonizes
in ice and snow

the harmony of everything
resounds in the woods
on thanksgiving and all days

in harmony
with wind and birdsong
a concert for the trees

Arranged by the Great Spirit
everything in nature
embodies balance and harmony.

leaves harmonize
with shadow and light
in the stillness resides everything

Standing in the quiet of the field
in the gentle morning light
the mountain range rests in soft clouds
all is as it should be.

A harmony of light and dark,
the forest floor wears herringbone.

In his stillness
the squirrel seeks
to become one with the tree.

In the garden everything finds its rightful home
a stone is sheltered by a mass of blooms
and so it should be.
