I wish I could show this to my mom. When I was 10 and designing fashions for my paper dolls, she told me authoritatively that red did NOT go together with purple or pink. She’s been gone for almost 40 years now, but thinking of her reaction to these beautiful blossoms makes me smile. Mom was pretty smart, but Mother Nature knows best!
Oh! Thanks so much for sharing that memory these brought. Mother Nature does know best – and she says orange and purple are okay together too! Who knew?!
