I love the color against the lush greenery. I’ve never seen an azalea grow the way this one is.
I think this one might be wanting more sun – but I love the way it is so delicate and thinned out.

BTW – a great garden fence in the background – the only way to garden in deer country!
For sure! And even then….but the deer have been very kind to us (so far) this year and have not consumed the buds off the mock orange.

I heard that mock orange forms an impenetrable thicket serving as a very good “fence” as well…
I hadn’t heard that. Something to consider! What could be lovelier than a fence of mock orange?
