deepening of rays

Really rich colours. Des.
Now, that’s an expression that stopped me: “maundy March.” Then, I thought, “Of course. The washing of the landscape with spring rains — only roots, instead of foots!”

I have never heard of ‘maundy’. Thanks to shorea cres for the explanation.
