Great crop, and imaginative simile
Very clever and beautiful. x
Annie Dillard wrote a hilarious paragraph about how wasteful it is for trees to shed their leaves. She wonders, wouldn’t it have been tidier and less extravagant for them to just hold on to them from year to year? We could argue that, but in the meantime, there’s the beauty of the trees’ transition to enjoy.

I love the close up details and the words you’ve found to put with them
unique and great metaphor!
Life in its changes, beautiful surprises, mysterious too
Interesting shot! Nice!
This leaf is beautiful! Gorgeous colors! 🙂
There is true beauty in decay for the sake of renewal. The cycle of life.
Such a sensitive shot…it looks like aged parchment to me.
