  1. An apt set of metaphors to describe that aging process! I like it. Feels like me today. Just came back on this rainy Saturday from a funeral for a dear friend. God’s crying.

    1. So sorry to hear about the passing of your friend. Yes on certain days the rain is God’s tears. On another day the sun will shine and the flowers will bloom in celebration of that friend.

  2. I live in the country and take the backroads to work, and every day I look for the falling down buildings that once housed life. I love old barns and houses..I often wonder what transpired there. And now and then, a story is written. Thank you.

  3. The old, gray(ing) shed, she ain’t what she used to be — oh, didn’t I hear that song when I was growing up. The “swayback” is good, but “ridden by time” is perfect.

  4. Greetings from Carolina! I’m bored to death at work so I decided to browse your blog on my iphone during lunch break.
I love the knowledge you provide here and can’t wait to take a look
when I get home. I’m surprised at how quick your blog loaded on my
cell phone .. I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G
    .. Anyways, superb site!
