the old ladder
bows to the ground

This has got to be one of my favourites…this is a picture that accurately portrays how I am feeling right now…. sigh…. 🙂
Great shot…it’s a pity someone didn’t have the good sense to shore up the center ot the ladder with a wall peg.

that ladder has not been used in a very long time….speaks volumes.
There’s a sense of sadness in this image. That core spirit of New England — at peace with the land — is fading, well, has faded considerably over time. That ladder represents that so well.
