from the river’s surface
the tree looked up at me
delivering heaven at my feet

Excellent use of B/W
Reflection well said.
That photo is so full of melancholy and sweet drams !
Reading the text, I tried a very silly thing: to put it exactly as it is in the very bad google translator. I wondered for the result of the google Italian version, that is perfect:
Dalla superficie del fiume
l’albero mi guardò
offrendo il cielo ai miei piedi
I never saw google working in such a good way. I thought that the simplicity of your writings is closely related to their beauty.
How marvelous!! Thank YOU!

Wonderful image. A feeling and yet it is almost fleeting….
Oooo…. LOVE this!!!
I so enjoy opening my laptop each morning to your beautiful reflections. Thank you!
How surreal — that the tree is not inverted(?).
Beautiful picture.! 🍁
I could fall in, could grasp a tree limb,
swim under and over it,
find in that placid murky cold a haven,
then be delivered to places so far unknown
and return like a fish for more air.
Thank you leafandtwig.
Cynthia, thank you for adding your beauty!
