I often think of the animals when people complain about the weather. Depending on my tolerance level, triggers the type of response I blurt out. “The animals are having a much harder time.” is one of the kinder redirects. Sometimes I’ll add, “Animals don’t have grocery stores or a thermostat they can use.”
Wonderful! This could be my own yard, where the ruminators roam. I have a love/hate relationship with the deer; enjoy their grace and beauty, until they decimate the tree peonies on their “woody browse”.
I love your blog posts. 🙂
Lovely
Wonderful title to pair with this chilly picture

Seedbud: really fine image. You managed to get good focus despite the heavy snow. NEAT!
Sure is a tough winter for deer.
Awesome photo! I always am amazed at how deer are both tough and graceful at the same time.
Love the deer.
It’s a rare occasion to see a deer, even in countryside where they roam. Even more rare to be able to catch one in a photo. Good luck sweet deer.
such a Lovely scenery.
Nice. Thanks.

I always love these little poems when I see them, and this one is especially sweet.
Photograph perfect for a snowy day.

Better with camera than other ‘shoots’.
Great shot showing the hardship of foraging in winter weather.
I feed the deer in my backwoods all winter, especially during the time of great snowfall!
