We are so delighted by bird color this season.
Nice! I was looking at the bluejays at the feeder today and appreciating their gorgeous color. I like the idea that they are ‘dyed by the sky,’ which indirectly, they are. Their feathers are reflectors of light and not really colored. That would account for their greater vibrancy this time of year.
