where observation and imagination meet nature in poetry

each and every seed
listens and waits
for the wind to call its name
inviting its flight on silken wings

What a beautiful photo and words. Perfect .
Superb contrasting textures and accompanying words
Oh this is beautiful….and somehow catches the opposites of the peace of waiting filled with the energy of a whole life to be lived!
Your words exactly describe the Stephanotis seeds taking wing in my garden
They look almost fairy-like – your pictures and words capture nature magic very well.
Thanks Emma! And thanks for all your comments!

Awesome poem for this beautiful photo!! Hugz Lisa and Bear
I love the potential and design this suggests for us all.
oooo beautiful, did you use a different camera for this one??
Wow! This is such a delicate picture, one can hear the wind calling…
Fly free, little seedlings! 🙂
The top seedling looks like a bird, it’s amazing how nature blends all her creatures together, the evidence of family is everywhere in her glorious design.
Oh..that is a beautiful poem.
Love this poem ! So perfectly suited for these seed pods.
Love this – the photo is wonderful but the poem is perfect – thanks for sharing your beautiful post today
Oh so lovely!
At first glance I also thought the first seed was a bird. Perfect pairing of picture and words.
i love your combination on thoughts and photos. This one in particular is stunning.
Your words are perfectly evoke the journey of the seeds still hanging onto this milkweed pod. Beautiful.
Wonderful shot. Love the wispy look of the seed pods against the strong lines of the trees.
So fuzzy….love these…and we need them for the diminishing monarchs…
Your words really tell a story. I’m imagining the seeds waiting for the wind to call their names

This is beautiful! My children have been watching Fantasia this past week, and this reminds me of the autumn fairies in the Nutcracker part 🙂
To see and give witness and wings to the deep beauty of life that many view as nothing special is a great gift. Thank you.

Thank you for appreciation of my Clouds. Like your photos of beautiful nature.
I am truly at a loss for words..all I can say is that your poetry brings people closer to nature than ever before. You make us see the little things in the landscape..which we don’t see or dont want to see. This counts for life as well..you make us see the little things which we can be a source of happiness. After all it the little things in life which make us happy..and you do that everyday u make people smile but mind you also make them cry for writing such poetic lines.Really it kills..how can someone write so beautifully…so what’s your story?
What beautiful words to say about this! I wasn’t sure what to say since everyone has said the same things, but I love the way anyone who writes can come up with just a few words to make something in the winter sound majestic…love it!
I love that poem. It takes my breath away.
Absolutely lovely-perfect words and picture. Thanks for liking my latest posts. I enjoy your blog.

Thank you for liking my post, “Ancient Wine”, and thank you for leading me here. Your work is beautiful.
It’s no wonder the Monarch butterfly, chooses milkweed to lay its eggs and hatch their young. It is simple beauty, “paying it forward.”
Sometimes I’m like one of those seeds.
Such a peace and tranquil filled image.
Maybe their ancestors listened to their call to become pillow filling?? 😉
What a stunning photo!
Beautiful words and great picture.
Thank you Marianne
Beautiful shot ❤
