the ground has lost it’s blanket
but the pond’s white sheet of ice
is still pulled tight

We love White Birch! My Brother-in-law has trouble growing it… there’s not enough iron in the soil; apparently, it requires a lot of iron.

Birches are the loveliest of trees – nice composition with layers of light and dark in the background.
