awwwe, lovely view you have here.
What a beautiful spot for a clothesline.
Your written lines capture the photo perfectly.
I bet that clothesline is done for the winter months! Nice photo! Hugz Lisa and Bear
Very evocative. Where is it?
This is near Bradford Vermont

That’s oddly appropriate, as the country looks very similar to what you’d find outside Bradford, Yorkshire, England – very similar to a lot of the North of England and the Scottish Borders.
So nostalgic … and lovely
nice photo and love your poems too.
I do love a clothesline. Hanging clothes was a favorite chore when I was young, but you can hang a lot of memories on a clothesline, too.
Beautiful. Words and image.
Simply sublime Seedbud. I wrote one for the season too so feel free to have a look when you get the chance. Otherwise, have a sweet week. 🙂
This photo is so moving. What a story you tell with your eye!!
Just love the mood of this image! Great combo of the everyday and the grandeur of nature.
Best photo ever!!! Jane
Wonderful! Both the photo and the verse! 🙂
That says it all!
Black pegs are the notes
That sing the song
Of winter nights to come.
as Haiku –
Black pegs are the notes
That sing out a warning song
Of winter nights to come
Charming image and poem.
So much going on here. Love the splash of color, mixed with the fork and the cross, then the bend of the river. Lovely.
Another incredible piece of art. Can’t believe I can just open my inbox and find your photos there. Such a gift!
Thanks so much for letting me know you enjoy them Rachel. Best, Seedbud
Beautiful picture, and words catch the mood perfectly. Thank you!! I love the moods of autumn.
Very nice and beautiful!
Ohhh…you got me! Right in the heart, was that perfect a shot.
Beautiful photo! Poem, too!
Love this! 🙂 Is this your yard? I would love to do my ‘laundry meditation’ here – what a peaceful view.
It is a friend’s yard. It is indeed the perfect place for ‘laundry meditation’ 🙂
A perfect image for late fall! I, too, love my clothesline and miss it in bad weather.
Just lovely. Thank you.
So creative! Loved it.
And there you go again … another wonderful image making me homesick.
I always wanted to see Vermont. This one is going to be my desktop pic for awhile so I can gaze at it and pretend I’m actually there. = )
Come visit – it is worth it in any season.
Many moons ago, I used to have a clothes line like that one. Had to boil the clothes in a copper, rinse them by hand, then peg them on the line. Had to pray the prop didn’t snap letting the washing drag on the dirt.
