shade foreshadows winter
waiting in the wings of fall

Beautifully merged imagery and poetic thought. I like this post very much.
The shadowed leaves do look like wings. And, you brought to mind one of my favorite “toys” from childhood: the winged seeds from maple trees.
Very nice – yes, winter is waiting in the wings, isn’t it? Makes me want to sit in the sun all day to store it up!
Very nice and beautiful colors!
It’s been particularly lovely this autumn!!
Elegant gold and black 🙂
True…and beautifully said!
Beautiful colors. My favorite time of year….Fall!
Wonderful fall colors.
