Over the years I’ve remembered the flowers, but I’d forgotten the pleasure of those dried seeds. As children, we used them as “money” for our very important transactions.
I can see by this poem that you have been thinking similar thoughts. I try not be sad this time of year as I watch the flowers go by but think about how nature is already getting things ready for next spring.
