Foreshadow

A certain crispness has crept into the air
and something heavy now weighs on Tom’s mind
a distant worry that has been hunting him.

  1. We have a lot of wild turkeys where I LIVE, IT IS FUN TO SEE THE GROUPS ON MOTHERS AND YOUNG AND HOW FAST THEY GROW. tHE MALES SPREADING THEIR TAIL FEATHERS AND SHOWING OFF IT QUITE a SIGHT.

  2. While there is no crispness in the air yet, here in central Florida, I saw a wild turkey yesterday as I drove through the Ocala Forest. And more exciting yet, I saw a half grown black bear standing at the edge of the woods. A first for me, though they are plentiful in this area. I reckon fall is on the way, even down here. Great picture and very nice poem. Tom does, indeed, looked weighed down by heavy thoughts. Hopefully he’ll be able to forage for a long time to come.
