The photo is probably of a Tiger Swallowtail Butterfly and not of a Monarch. I like the colourful sharp photo though. LikeLike Reply
Ah yes. You are right. I exercised a little creative license – to get at the “feel” of it. LikeLike Reply
Hello Leaf and Twig! Thanks for “liking” my post “Sweet Pepper Bush” on uribotanicalgardens.wordpress.com Your pictures are beautiful! Today’s picture ‘Monarch’ reminds me very much of one I took which is posted here: http://uribotanicalgardens.wordpress.com/2011/09/15/losing-my-voice/ I’m looking forward to visiting again! Hi there, the butterfly photo looks a little light for a Monarch but it sure is a beauty. I love the way the wings are standing up. LikeLike Reply
Nice photo. The butterfly indeed looks royal, but John is right–a monarch is an orange butterfly. The banner image on my blog is a monarch on a purple cone flower in my garden. Anyway, it is still an attractive image. LikeLike Reply
Hi Garden Joe – yes you and John are absolutely correct. I exercised ‘creative license’ in the text. LikeLike Reply
This is sweet, the flower and the butterfly, and the words. Thanks for stopping by, best regards and greetings from sunny Paris LikeLike Reply
