The birch lies with lichen and leaves
only to rise again in the next season
as hope eternal, the spring ephemerals.

Beautiful! I enjoyed the way the poem and the picture complimented each other so well. And the angles in the photo — twisting and turning and drawing me right in — are lovely.
Was thinking today only 6 more weeks to March and spring ephemerals!
Beautiful–almost like the branches are carefully staying still so the snow is not shaken off.
